The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday leveled allegations of corruption against the health department under the AAP government, prompting the Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) to take cognizance of the matter.

Addressing a press conference, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva asserted that AAP and corruption have become synonymous. He criticized the Arvind Kejriwal-led government for allegedly shirking responsibilities and opting instead to hold press briefings. Sachdeva highlighted complaints filed by BJP MLAs with the ACB concerning scams in the health department and forecasted that an FIR would be filed soon, promising revelations about Kejriwal's governance.

In response, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj suggested that BJP officials are concocting various conspiracies against him. He also questioned why the LG has not suspended officers involved if scams had occurred, asserting he had not issued any tenders. Meanwhile, the ACB and Vigilance Department are set to investigate under Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, which requires prior approval to probe public servants.
