Former diplomat Sujan Chinoy on Sunday expressed concerns over China's rise, highlighting it as a major issue for India due to unresolved boundary disputes and Beijing's hostility towards India's growth.
Speaking at the launch of his book 'Global Tumult: India as a Pole Star,' Chinoy emphasized India's need for peace and stability in its vicinity to emerge as a significant power.
Chinoy, Director General of the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, underscored the militarization of China's power and its economic repercussions in South Asia and the Indian Ocean.
