Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha is set to launch a significant BJP membership drive starting September 3, according to a senior party leader on Sunday.

The BJP's Tripura unit has ambitiously set a target to recruit 12 lakh new members during this one-and-a-half month-long campaign, state BJP general secretary Amit Rakshit told PTI.

The campaign's inaugurative ceremony will feature Chief Minister Manik Saha and state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, with a special emphasis on expanding the party's online membership base, added Rakshit.
