Raising concern over incidents of communal tensions in Odisha, opposition leader Naveen Patnaik on Saturday criticized the state government for failing to maintain peace and harmony.

Speaking in the assembly, Patnaik pointed out several communal incidents that have occurred in the state since the BJP government took office. He highlighted a recent murder in Khurda district as an example.

He also accused the government of inaction against Governor Raghubar Das's son, who allegedly attacked an officer during Rath Yatra. Patnaik further brought up the issue of spurious liquor claiming lives in Ganjam district, stressing the need for stringent measures to maintain law and order.
