The ruling Communist Party of China, under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, has rolled out new regulations targeting incompetent members. These measures are aimed at expelling those deemed lacking in faith, loyalty, and performance, thereby strengthening the party's grip over its expansive member base.
The General Office of the CPC Central Committee issued the new rules on Thursday. These regulations, spread across 27 articles, serve to provide institutional guarantees for maintaining the advanced nature and integrity of the party's membership, according to the state-run Xinhua news agency.
An official from the Organisation Department of the CPC Central Committee emphasized the importance of these rules for exercising full and rigorous Party self-governance. The regulations are critical for promoting the party's self-reform and establishing a team of steadfast, politically reliable, and disciplined members making significant contributions.
