BJD Expels Zilla Parishad Member Sasmita Majhi for 'Anti-People Activities'

The BJD on Tuesday expelled Sasmita Majhi, a zilla parishad member from Malkangiri district, Odisha, for alleged 'anti-people activities'. The expulsion was announced by BJD media coordinator Pratap Jena. This action follows the arrest of a man for allegedly duping job aspirants by impersonating a relative of a former BJD leader.

The opposition BJD in Odisha has expelled Sasmita Majhi, a zilla parishad member from Malkangiri district, for allegedly engaging in 'anti-people activities'.

According to Pratap Jena, the media coordinator for the BJD, Majhi, who represented zilla parishad zone 3 in Mathili block, has been removed from the party with immediate effect.

The expulsion coincides with the arrest of a man in the area for allegedly duping job seekers by pretending to be the brother-in-law of former BJD leader VK Pandian.
