Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira will embark on a four-day visit to India starting Sunday, aiming to bolster bilateral strategic ties and discuss key issues pertaining to the upcoming G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro.

During the visit, Vieira, along with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, will co-chair the ninth India-Brazil joint commission meeting on August 27, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The meeting will focus on expanding the overall strategic partnership between the two nations.

The MEA highlighted that with Brazil holding the G20 presidency this year, discussions will also revolve around how the two countries can collaborate as 'Troika' to advance key G20 outcomes from the previous Indian presidency.
