Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday accused the BJP of spreading 'poison' in society under the pretext of religion, caste, love jihad, and flood jihad.

Speaking at a government function in Hazaribag, Soren accused the BJP of plotting to undermine the reservations for Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). At the event, he also transferred the first instalment of Rs 1,000 to women beneficiaries under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojana (JMMSY) scheme.

Addressing the gathering, Soren criticized the BJP for allegedly importing leaders from other states to manage Jharkhand's affairs, accusing them of sowing discord among communities. He further alleged a conspiracy by the central government to usurp the rights of tribal, Dalit, OBC, and minority communities, calling for vigilance against such divisive tactics.
