Former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Friday claimed that a sewer crisis is being deliberately orchestrated in the national capital by the BJP to inconvenience the public.
During his padyatra in Mayur Vihar, where he was warmly welcomed with flowers and a 'tilak', Sisodia, recently released from jail on bail, made these accusations.
He stated, "People are praying for Arvind Kejriwal. Every child in Delhi knows that the BJP has put him in jail as part of a conspiracy. CM Arvind Kejriwal had to go to jail not because he did something wrong, but because he worked for Delhi. The BJP wants to stop the work of the people of Delhi."
Sisodia emphasized that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has worked hard for the city over the past nine years but has recently faced resistance from the BJP. "Now our ministers are also fighting with them, and I am also fighting with them. A sewer crisis is being created deliberately inside Delhi so that the people of Delhi are troubled," he alleged. "But as soon as Arvind Kejriwal comes out, he will fight for these issues and get all the work done," he added.
