Charges Filed Against Bangladesh's Sheikh Hasina Following Protester's Death
A new case has been filed against deposed Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, bringing the total number of cases against her to 45. The latest case, related to the killing of a hawker during mass protests, was filed in Ashulia Police Station following a court order.

A new case was filed Thursday against Bangladesh's deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 46 others, concerning the death of a hawker during recent mass protests in the capital.
Following a court order, the case was registered at Ashulia Police Station, as reported by the state-run BSS news agency.
Md Mojibul Hossain, a relative of the victim Shaon, lodged the complaint in the Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate's court. After recording Hossain's statement, the court directed Ashulia Police Station to register the matter as a first information report (FIR).
