Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday accused Rahul Gandhi of 'double-faced' behavior, condemning him for criticizing Kashmir on international platforms while soliciting votes from the region. This criticism comes as the Congress party and the National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir discuss a potential alliance, with Rahul Gandhi, Farooq Abdullah, and Omar Abdullah expected to finalize a seat-sharing agreement during Gandhi's visit to the region.

Singh further alleged that Gandhi has been a key figure in efforts to divide the nation and incite Hindu-Muslim conflicts, highlighting his apparent disregard for addressing severe issues in West Bengal, such as the recent gang-rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata. Singh stated, 'Whether it is to divide the country or spread confusion, fight between Hindus and Muslims or make them backwards and forward, Rahul Gandhi is at the forefront in these works. But when a daughter is gang-raped in Bengal, Rahul Gandhi scolds the journalists. He will not go to Bengal but will go to Hapur in Uttar Pradesh. He will abuse Kashmir globally but seek votes in the region. This is the double face of Rahul Gandhi.'

Singh also criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over her government's handling of the rape and murder incident, demanding her resignation. 'A female doctor has been raped and later murdered in West Bengal. On the basis of morality, Mamata Banerjee should resign. While in Maharashtra or Uttar Pradesh, the criminals have been apprehended, Mamata Banerjee's government has protected the criminals, which is disgraceful,' he asserted.

Further targeting Gandhi, Singh contrasted the Congress leader's focus on electoral alliances with Prime Minister Modi's emphasis on development, peace, and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir. 'Mehbooba Mufti and Farooq Abdullah are blind to the development in Jammu and Kashmir. Rahul Gandhi goes to Jammu and Kashmir to form alliances and contest elections, prioritizing them over development. For Prime Minister Modi, the peace and development of Jammu and Kashmir are paramount,' he added.
