Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini extended his congratulations to BJP leader Kiran Choudhary on the occasion of her filing for nomination in the Rajya Sabha by-election from Haryana. Choudhary submitted her nomination papers on Wednesday in the presence of CM Saini and a number of supporting MLAs.

CM Saini stated: "I congratulate Kiran Choudhary on filing her nomination for the Rajya Sabha by-election. I extend my best wishes to her. Our MLAs are present and supportive, including Jogiram Sihag, Ramniwas Surjakhera, Ram Kumar Gautam, Anoop Dhanak, Nayan Pal Rawat, and Gopal Kanda."

BJP leader Kiran Choudhary expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, and supporting MLAs. She acknowledged the BJP's leadership, referencing her family's historical ties with the party and her dedication to public service in Haryana.

Choudhary also reminisced about the political obstacles she faced in 2004 when she was the Congress candidate, attributing her lack of success to betrayal and deceit by the Congress leadership. She underscored the brighter prospects with BJP leadership.

Choudhary, the daughter-in-law of former Haryana CM Bansi Lal, transitioned to BJP earlier this year. The Election Commission has set September 3 as the election date for 12 Rajya Sabha seats, with candidate scrutiny on August 22 and candidature withdrawal on August 26 and 27. Polls will be open from 9 am to 4 pm with vote counting commencing at 5 pm the same day.
