Manish Sisodia of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to embark on a foot march beginning August 14, aimed at engaging with residents of Delhi ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. The announcement came on Sunday after a strategic meeting with key AAP figures to discuss polling tactics.
The meeting saw participation from notable AAP leaders including Delhi ministers Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai, and Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh and Sandeep Pathak. Pathak, who also serves as the party's national general secretary (organisation), emphasized that they deliberated on both the political climate and electoral strategies for the Delhi Assembly.
Sisodia, who recently secured bail after 17 months in jail over an excise policy case, has reignited enthusiasm among AAP members. His upcoming foot march and recent release are seen as critical boosts for the party's momentum as it stands resilient against BJP's opposition and strengthens its presence in other states.
