The BJP on Sunday accused the Congress and other opposition parties of conspiring to create financial instability and chaos in India, dismissing Hindenburg's allegations against the SEBI chairperson as an attempt to discredit the financial watchdog.

According to BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, the short-selling firm, which previously accused the Adani group of serious wrongdoing, is under scrutiny from Indian probe agencies. He noted that opposition parties are echoing these allegations to stir chaos in the financial sector.

BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar also weighed in, asserting that the attack on SEBI is in partnership with Congress, aimed at destabilizing one of the world's strongest financial systems. He suggested a joint parliamentary committee to investigate the claims.
