Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's government following the death of a Yadgir police sub-inspector. Vijayendra accused the state government of corruption and claimed the Congress party had deceived the Dalit community. He insisted that the Home Minister and the CM should resign.

During the 'Mysuru Chalo' padayatra, BJP leader Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan echoed similar sentiments, calling the Chief Minister corrupt and demanding his resignation. Narayan stated that the public wants accountability for the corruption in the state and urged Congress to respect the Constitution and democracy by seeking the CM's resignation.

Union MoS Shobha Karandlaje wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, urging for a CBI investigation into the sub-inspector's death. The deceased, identified as Parashuram, allegedly faced harassment and bribery demands from local Congress MLA Chenna Reddy Patil Thunnur and his son, which reportedly led to his tragic death.
