The political crisis in Bangladesh intensified following widespread street protests over job quotas, prompting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to resign and flee the country. She is currently in India en route to London, according to diplomatic sources. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had chaired a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting on the issue on Monday.
