Aam Aadmi Party to Contest All Mumbai Seats in Maharashtra Assembly Polls

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will contest all 36 seats in Mumbai for the Maharashtra assembly polls, according to AAP leader Preeti Sharma Menon. Despite being part of the opposition INDI alliance for the Lok Sabha polls, the party is pushing for substantial political change in Maharashtra, focusing on issues such as public welfare and combating corruption.

In a significant political move, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced on Monday its intent to contest all 36 seats in Mumbai for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly polls. Party leader Preeti Sharma Menon revealed this at a press conference, highlighting the AAP's ambition to bring its 'Delhi model' of governance to Mumbai.

Menon pointed out that, while AAP is part of the opposition INDI alliance for the Lok Sabha polls, the party is resolutely focused on Maharashtra's state elections. She criticized the current BJP-Shinde Sena government, accusing it of corruption and failing in public welfare initiatives.

Menon emphasized that AAP aims to deliver clean and effective governance, similar to its efforts in Delhi and Punjab. The party's leadership believes the people of Maharashtra deserve better, and their plan addresses critical issues like infrastructure, housing, and social justice.
