Congress Strategizes for Maharashtra Assembly Elections

Ramesh Chennithala, the All India Congress Committee in-charge of Maharashtra, convened with state party leaders to discuss key strategies and issues for the upcoming assembly polls. Mumbai unit chief Varsha Gaikwad reported productive discussions on Sunday.
These discussions preceded the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) meet scheduled for August 7. Alliance partners, including Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and NCP (SP) head Sharad Pawar, are expected to attend.
The Maharashtra assembly elections, due in October, see Congress aiming for a strong vote with concerted efforts and alliances. Talks on seat-sharing are ongoing as indicated by Varsha Gaikwad, with participation from prominent leaders like Prithviraj Chavan and Balasaheb Thorat.
