Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has alleged that Democratic Party insiders have positioned Kamala Harris as a 'puppet candidate' controlled by donors and power brokers.

Speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump, 78, contended that Harris, 59, received zero initial support and accused her of misleading the public about President Joe Biden's mental and physical fitness. The former president's remarks came as Vice President Harris has been narrowing the gap with Trump in opinion polls ahead of the November 5 election.

Trump also criticized Harris's political stance, claiming she supports radical policies such as open borders and all-electric cars, which he believes would drive the country towards socialism.
