Drama unfolded earlier in the day with legislators donning black scarves in protest of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's alleged disrespectful behavior towards women MLAs and a police crackdown on Congress workers. The opposition even conducted mock proceedings. Following continuous disruptions, RJD leader Kumar Sarvjeet criticized the Speaker's actions, claiming the opposition had not been heard during the session.

The contentious issue of the Chief Minister's treatment of female MLAs also surfaced in the Upper House, with Leader of the Opposition Rabri Devi demanding apologies for alleged misogynistic remarks by the Chief Minister and a Union Minister.
