The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday alleged that the Delhi BJP MPs were ''ruining'' the city and doing nothing to stop demolition activities being conducted by different agencies.

AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak condemned the BJP MPs, accusing them of inaction despite significant electoral victories since 2014. He particularly called out Praveen Khandelwal, the MP from the area where the DDA recently carried out a largescale demolition drive. According to Pathak, Khandelwal failed to meet long-term residents affected by these activities.

Khandelwal responded, accusing Pathak of lying to divert public attention from issues like water and electricity shortages under the Kejriwal administration. Furthermore, Pathak criticized BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj for ignoring demolitions in her constituency. He alleged that the silence from BJP MPs indicated support for such actions and demanded their intervention to protect the affected residents.

Swaraj's office rebutted the claims, stating that she had already met concerned citizens twice. The Delhi BJP also counter-attacked, asking Pathak to account for the unallocated Rajiv Awas flats, which have been pending since 2014-15.
