Senior JD(S) MLA H D Revanna made an emotionally charged statement in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly regarding his son, Prajwal Revanna, who faces allegations of sexually abusing several women. 'If my son has committed wrongs, let him be hanged. I won't say no,' Revanna stated.

Revanna criticized Director-General of Police Alok Mohan, calling him 'unfit' for his position. 'I have not come here to defend things or to have a discussion. I have been a lawmaker for 25 years. I have spent 40 years in political life. Against me, some woman is brought to the Director-General's office and the DG gets the complaint filed. He is 'nalayak' to be the DG,' Revanna said, prompting outcry from ruling Congress members.

Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar responded, suggesting Revanna provide formal notice for allegations against officials. Four cases against Prajwal are under Special Investigation Teams (SIT) and include recent election-related controversies with explicit videos. JD(S) suspended Prajwal amid allegations against both him and his parents.
