BJP Leader C T Ravi has raised serious concerns about the state government's Special Investigation Team (SIT), suggesting a need for a deeper probe into its investigation of the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation scam.
Despite the Enforcement Directorate identifying Congress MLA and former Minister B Nagendra as the chief conspirator, the SIT has conspicuously omitted his name from its chargesheet. Ravi highlighted this discrepancy, questioning the thoroughness of the SIT's examination.
According to the Directorate of Enforcement, Nagendra and his aides allegedly embezzled Rs 89 crore, with Rs 42 crore reportedly benefiting his close associates. Ravi insists on investigating the intentions behind the SIT's report, suggesting potential cover-ups.
