Udhampur Railway Station to Become Major Junction Under PM Modi's Vision

Union MoS Jitendra Singh announced Udhampur's inclusion in the Adarsh station scheme, forecasting its development into a significant railway junction, to be inaugurated by PM Modi. He highlighted infrastructure projects like the world's tallest bridge in Jammu and emphasized opportunities for youth and economic growth.

Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh announced on Saturday that Udhampur railway station has been included in the Adarsh station scheme. He said the station will become a significant railway junction and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Singh also highlighted that Jammu is the site of the world's tallest bridge, which is currently being constructed. He mentioned that issues at the Reasi bridge have been resolved, paving the way for train connectivity into the Kashmir Valley.

The Minister emphasized the rapidly changing opportunities for youth, pointing to India's burgeoning start-up ecosystem. He projected that India will soon emerge as the world's third-largest economy. He underscored the government's efforts to close developmental gaps and create employment opportunities, aiming to make Udhampur a prominent name across the country.
