Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attended the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) working committee meeting in Jaipur on Saturday. He emphasized that their aim is not mere political power but national development. Chouhan urged members to spread the government's initiatives and their ideology to build a prosperous India and Rajasthan.

"We are not just here for power, but to serve the people and build the country," Chouhan stated. On Friday, he highlighted the central government's efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in pulse production during a Kharif crop review meeting in Delhi. He expressed satisfaction with the increase in pulses cultivation this year, particularly for Tur/Arhar.

Chouhan reiterated the government's commitment to 100% procurement for Urad, Arhar, and Masur in all states. He called for increased awareness to encourage more farmers to cultivate pulses. Officials briefed Chouhan on the monsoon's onset, groundwater levels, seeds, and fertilizer availability. The minister stressed timely fertilizer availability for both Kharif and Rabi crops.
