Slamming the BJP over the recently concluded by-poll, Congress leader Pawan Khera remarked on Saturday that the public has sent a strong message to the BJP for the second time in one and a half months. Notably, the INDIA bloc secured 10 out of 13 assembly seats, while the BJP only managed two, with an independent winning one seat.

Khera highlighted the importance of these by-elections, emphasizing that in the context of the Lok Sabha elections, the message was exceptionally clear. In Uttarakhand, Congress won both Badrinath and Manglaur seats. In Himachal Pradesh, Congress secured 2 out of 3 seats. Summarizing the results, Khera noted that the BJP managed to win only 2 out of 13 seats. He stated, 'The people who were trying to destabilize the elected government have been taught a significant lesson by the public today. People are consistently rejecting BJP's politics due to its lack of accountability, respect for democratic processes, and failure to answer public concerns.'

Furthermore, Congress is gearing up for the upcoming elections in four states. Khera assured that all party workers and office bearers are fully committed to these elections, reiterating their resolve not to let their ideology weaken. He also alleged misconduct in Amarwara, Madhya Pradesh, where officials paused vote counting for lunch, claiming it was an unprecedented move to defeat Congress.

Adding to the critiques, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, articulated that the by-election results across seven states indicate that the BJP's 'web of fear and confusion' has been dismantled. He stated on social media platform X, 'Every class including farmers, youth, laborers, businessmen, and employed people want to completely destroy dictatorship and establish the rule of justice. The public is now completely standing with INDIA for the betterment of their lives and protection of the Constitution.'
