Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Wednesday refuted allegations of a scam in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment.
Addressing the media, Shivakumar asserted that no scams have taken place under the current Congress regime. His statements came in the wake of opposition BJP's claims of a Rs 4,000 crore alternative site scam in MUDA, situated in Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's hometown. The BJP had also alleged that Siddaramaiah's wife was one of the beneficiaries, which she has strongly denied.
Shivakumar, speaking after a 'Government at your doorstep' event in Channapatna, emphasized, "All the scams that the state witnessed have taken place during the BJP tenure. We will respond to all the allegations during the legislature session."
