Several MPs from the INDIA bloc took to Parliament premises on Monday to protest against what they claim is the government's misuse of probe agencies to target Opposition leaders.

Rahul Gandhi, joined by other leaders from TMC and AAP, participated in the demonstration, which took place on the steps leading to the Makar Dwar in Parliament.

The protest included placards reading, 'stop misusing agencies to silence opposition' and 'Join the BJP and get a license for corruption,' highlighting the perceived misuse of power.

AAP MP Raghav Chadha notably held a poster showing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal behind bars.

The protesters called for the release of three arrested ministers in West Bengal and demanded an end to the ED's actions against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

'The whole INDIA bloc is united against the misuse of central agencies against opposition leaders,' Congress leader Rajeev Shukla stated.

The protest follows a court's decision to send Kejriwal to judicial custody in a corruption case linked to the excise scam. He was arrested by the CBI last week and had previously been arrested by the ED in a money-laundering case.

Hemant Soren was released on Friday after being granted bail by the state high court, which noted that there was no sufficient evidence to keep him detained.
