On Saturday, the members of BJP's Janata Yuva Morcha (youth wing) organized a protest at the Telangana State Public Service Commission office. They demanded the release of a 'job calendar' and the recruitment of 25,000 teachers.

The protest was spearheaded by BJYM's Telangana president, Sevella Mahender, who led a dharna in front of the Commission's office.

Mahender called for the immediate release of a 'job calendar' to initiate recruitment processes, qualifying candidates of Group-1 preliminary examination in a ratio of 1:100, and increasing posts in Group-2 and Group-3 exam notifications, along with the recruitment of 25,000 teachers under the District Selection Committee (DSC) system.

Earlier in February, the state government had issued a notification for recruiting over 11,000 teachers through the DSC examination system.
