A video showing BJP MLA Shalabh Mani Tripathi riding a motorcycle without a helmet has stirred public interest. Following the video's virality, Tripathi took responsibility and reached out to authorities, requesting the imposition of a fine against himself for breaking safety regulations.

The Deoria MLA explained that the incident occurred on a Sunday evening when a party worker asked him to inaugurate a new motorcycle. Despite being aware of safety rules, Tripathi admitted to the oversight and accepted his mistake.

In a letter to the police, he emphasized the need for traffic rule compliance and appealed to the public to always wear helmets, underlining the importance of adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents.
