The Mumbai Crime Branch has apprehended a Bangladeshi national from Dadar for allegedly residing illegally in India. This arrest raises concerns about the individual's potential involvement in the violent incidents that shook Nagpur on March 17.
Identified as Azizul Nizanul Rahman, aged 29, the suspect was detained by the Crime Branch's Unit II. Authorities suspect his presence in Nagpur during the violence. Official reports suggest Rahman might have used fraudulent documents to acquire an Aadhaar card, underscoring the gravity of the illegal activities involved.
Investigators are closely examining Rahman's mobile phone records to assess any potential links to the unrest.
