Himachal Pradesh Boosts Youth Employment: Overseas Opportunities on the Horizon

The board approved a registration process and additional staff to facilitate connections under The Emigration Act, while continuing with educational initiatives like Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took a significant step toward enhancing employment prospects for Himachal Pradesh's youth in a meeting with the HPSEDC Board of Directors. Sukhu emphasized the need to create overseas job opportunities by aligning with The Emigration Act, 1983, and engaging with the Ministry of External Affairs.
The Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation aims to register with the Protector General of Emigrants in New Delhi to streamline this process. The board's approval paves the way for a focused approach to international recruitment and reinforces the state's commitment to youth employment.
Besides overseas employment, the board agreed to persist with the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and developed a tracking system for individuals employed abroad. Additionally, the approval to fill key positions within HPSEDC reflects the government's resolve to drive meaningful employment initiatives.
