In an earnest appeal, Manipur MLA Sapam Nishikant called upon Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla to expedite the investigation and search efforts to locate 20-year-old Luwangthem Mukesh, missing for over a week. This plea comes amid ongoing but unfruitful search operations.
Nishikant reported meeting the governor, who is up-to-date with the case of the missing youth from Bishnupur district. The MLA reassured the public that authorities are committed to finding Mukesh, although no significant progress has been achieved.
Mukesh, last spotted in Chinikhon area, had mobile signals traced in the Noney district despite unclear exact locations, police confirmed. Meanwhile, Mukesh's mother has publicly begged for the safe return of her son, underscoring parental anguish at a recent protest.
