A Delhi court has demanded Mandoli Jail officials submit a report regarding the health of Naresh Balyan, an AAP leader currently detained under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). Balyan claims his prescribed anxiety medication has been withheld by the prison staff.

The court has set a deadline of March 28 for the report, amidst the ongoing legal battle. In a recent development, Special Judge Kaveri Baweja decided to extend Balyan's judicial custody until April 16. Earlier, the court had denied him bail, arresting him on December 4.

Delhi Police opposed his release, labeling him a 'facilitator' within an organized crime syndicate. Concerns were raised about potential witness tampering and evidence destruction if he were granted bail. The prosecution noted 16 FIRs linked to the syndicate, citing societal havoc and illegal wealth amassed.
