The third edition of Sourcex India 2025, a flagship sourcing and export promotion event, was inaugurated in grand style at the state-of-the-art Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. Organized by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, the event marks a major milestone in India's efforts to position itself as a global sourcing hub.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Government of India, who formally opened the three-day international event. In his keynote address, Shri Sarangi emphasized the critical role of Sourcex India in advancing India’s global trade aspirations, especially by creating a strong ecosystem for export-led growth.

A Platform to Power India's Export Ambitions

DGFT Sarangi highlighted the strategic relevance of events like Sourcex India in promoting Made in India products and connecting Indian businesses with international buyers. “This platform not only brings global demand to India’s doorstep but also allows our exporters to showcase their capabilities directly to key decision-makers from around the world,” he stated.

He outlined the Government’s continued commitment to boosting exports through robust policy frameworks and flagship initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme. These, he said, are geared toward enhancing India’s manufacturing capabilities, encouraging technological innovation, and creating a favorable environment for international trade.

He also emphasized the importance of digitization, ease of doing business, and product standardization, which he noted are critical for increasing the global competitiveness and acceptance of Indian products. Moreover, DGFT Sarangi pointed to India’s proactive efforts to negotiate Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with key economic partners, thereby unlocking newer markets and reducing trade barriers.
