Prakash, criticized for his role as the chief executive officer of Invest UP, has been implicated in a corruption scandal involving a solar project. Yadav pointed out the unprecedented scenario where the police are seeking an IAS officer.

The controversy intensified when Nikant Jain, a purported middleman, was arrested in Lucknow. Suspicion surrounds Prakash, despite not being explicitly named in the FIR. As scrutiny builds, the government's 'zero tolerance' policy on corruption is under question.
