A police team led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in New Delhi visited the residence of Delhi High Court Judge Yashwant Varma to investigate the alleged discovery of cash following a fire at his home, sources reported on Wednesday.
Arriving at 1.50 pm, the team spent two hours at Varma's residence, later departing without addressing the media. They proceeded to the Tughlaq Road Police Station for further action.
The inquiry, prompted by allegations surrounding a fire incident, involves a committee constituted by the Chief Justice of India. Justice Varma has firmly rejected allegations of cash storage.
