A digital money transfer was pivotal in helping the Delhi Police track and arrest three men who allegedly stole cash and dairy products from a dairy booth in Delhi's southwest, authorities announced on Wednesday.

The breakthrough in this theft investigation occurred when a vigilant shopkeeper tipped off the police, revealing that one of the suspects had used his mobile phone to transfer money. This crucial piece of information enabled investigators to locate their hideout in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh.

The accused, named Shekhar (22), Sumit (26), and Lakhan (19), reportedly made off with Rs 37,000 in cash and numerous dairy items after deceiving booth owner Harsh Yadav. They had initially posed as potential leaseholders, deceiving Yadav into gaining full access to the booth's operations before fleeing. Fortunately, police recovered the items after tracking the suspects to a village in Baghpat.
