Wall Street's primary indexes saw marginal increases on Tuesday morning as investors parsed the potential impacts of imminent reciprocal tariffs alongside hints from U.S. President Donald Trump about possible flexibility in his trade policy stance.
As of 09:30 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 108.37 points, representing a 0.25% increase, bringing it to 42,691.69. Concurrently, the S&P 500 saw an uptick of 10.68 points, or 0.19%, reaching 5,778.25.
The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite also edged higher by 21.87 points, marking a 0.12% climb to 18,210.47 amid the market's cautious optimism.
