The police are taking action to question Samajwadi Party MP Zia Ur Rehman Warq concerning the violent incident in Sambhal last November, wherein four civilians died and several others, including security personnel, were injured.

The violence erupted during a court-mandated survey at Shahi Jama Masjid, as it was alleged to stand on a historical Hindu temple's site. In line with the High Court's directions, investigators are preparing to notify Warq, deemed a vital figure in the ongoing investigation.

Security measures have been reinforced in Sambhal, following the recent arrest of mosque leader Zafar Ali. Police have conducted a flag march to maintain peace and exhibit vigilance amidst the case proceedings.
