Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu unveiled the P4 (Public-Private-People Partnership) programme on Monday, a voluntary poverty elimination initiative designed to connect donors with beneficiaries without state-provided financial aid. Set to launch on Ugadi, March 30, the programme invites contributions from both locals and NRIs.

Naidu emphasized the voluntary nature of the initiative, ensuring that no one feels pressured to contribute. Beneficiaries, termed 'Bangaru Kutumbam' or 'golden families,' will be selected transparently through gram sabhas and ward meetings, a decision aimed at avoiding disputes.

The Chief Minister clarified that the P4 initiative stands independently from government welfare schemes, focusing specifically on the upliftment of the state's most disadvantaged communities. With an ambitious goal of benefitting 20 lakh families in its first phase, the programme is part of a broader mission to achieve zero poverty in Andhra Pradesh.
