A 34-year-old Nigerian national has been arrested in Hyderabad for alleged drug peddling, with law enforcement seizing seven grams of cocaine from his possession, as announced by the police on Monday.

Acting on credible intelligence, officers apprehended the suspect within the jurisdiction of Kachiguda Police Station on March 23. The Nigerian national was reportedly waiting to hand over a package of cocaine to a customer, according to a statement from the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Commissioner's Task Force) YVS Sudheendra.

It's been revealed that the accused had been conducting his illegal trade from Mumbai, distributing narcotics in Hyderabad. Authorities have commenced further investigation into the extent of the drug network.
