Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has hailed the state's law-and-order status as a 'model' for India, attributing the improvement to significant drops in crime rates, as reported by the National Crime Records Bureau.

In a recent assembly discussion, Adityanath emphasized Uttar Pradesh's leadership in convictions for crimes against women, detailing the outcomes of a focused conviction operation. Between July 2023 and December 2024, 51 individuals received death sentences, while thousands were given varying prison terms.

He described numerous reforms, including the fortification of the Anti-Terrorism Squad and the recruitment of over 1.56 lakh personnel, intended to further enhance security across the state.
