Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann asserted on Saturday that the Sutlej Yamuna Link canal will not come to fruition. He reiterated Punjab's lack of surplus water to share with other states, emphasizing that protecting Punjab's interests is paramount.

The decades-long dispute between Punjab and Haryana over the canal aims to redistribute water from the Ravi and Beas rivers. Notably, Haryana has completed its portion, whereas Punjab halted its progress in 1982.

Additionally, Mann addressed various political issues, including recent deportations of illegal Indian immigrants and employment opportunities in Punjab, underscoring his government's consistent support for the state's youth and families affected by loss.
