A 39-year-old man was swiftly arrested in connection with a hit-and-run fatality that unfolded near the Dhaula Kuan metro station in southwest Delhi, according to local law enforcement reports released on Saturday.
The individual in question, named as Ram Kumar Dixit and hailing from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was located within a mere 24-hour window following the incident. Police reported that a woman pedestrian was struck by Dixit's vehicle, leading to her tragic death.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Surendra Choudhary detailed that the accident transpired around 2:30 am on February 20. Authorities successfully identified Dixit using multiple CCTV footage from several locations including Dhaula Kuan and Tihar Jail Road, enabling them to promptly recover the vehicle involved.
