A tragic incident unfolded in Kamothe, Raigad district, as a 70-year-old woman and her son were discovered dead in their flat. The apartment was filled with LPG gas when the police arrived, suspecting foul play due to injury marks found on the son's body.
Relatives alerted authorities when there was no response to repeated knocking on the door. Breaking in, the police and fire brigade found that a knob supplying LPG was left open, causing gas to fill the residence.
The bodies were sent for postmortem. No case has been registered yet, but the investigation is ongoing to uncover the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
