A Delhi court has granted bail to a man arrested for possessing illegal arms, citing the possibility of the weapons being planted on him as a significant factor. The accused, identified as Ajay alias 'Totla', was the subject of a case registered under the Arms Act by the Delhi Police crime branch.

The decision came after Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Medha Arya reviewed arguments presented during the bail hearing. Ajay's counsel argued that the arms had been planted, a claim supported by inconsistencies in the arrest timeline noted by the court.

The court emphasized that, considering the circumstances, detaining the accused further served no purpose. Therefore, Ajay was granted bail on the condition of posting a personal and surety bond of Rs 20,000 each and must cooperate with the investigation.
