A devastating accident occurred near Raipur on Tuesday morning when a truck collided with a parked MUV, leading to the death of two teenagers and injuries to 12 others, according to local police reports.
The MUV, carrying 14 passengers related to each other, was returning from Amarkantak to Dhamtari and had stopped for repairs on a six-lane expressway bridge around 1:30 AM when a cement-laden truck rammed into it from behind.
The victims, identified as Aradhy Sahu, 12, and Monika Sahu, 14, died on the spot. The truck driver fled the scene. Authorities registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and have launched a manhunt for the driver.
