An LPG cylinder blast has tragically claimed the lives of eight devotees of Lord Ayyappa, as reported by local police on Tuesday.
The explosion, which caused burns to nine individuals, occurred in a room where the devotees were staying, all of whom were asleep at the time of the incident more than a week ago.
Authorities suggest the mishap might have happened due to negligence in turning off the cylinder knob correctly. The injured were admitted to Karnataka Medical College and Research Institute in Hubballi. Among the deceased are Tejashwara Satare and Prakash Barakera.
