Appointed as the new Governor of Bihar, Arif Mohammad Khan promised to honor the state's rich heritage and traditions upon officially taking office on January 2, 2025. Speaking to reporters at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport, Khan emphasized the influence Bihar's illustrious history has had on him, and his commitment to emulate this legacy.
Khan received a warm welcome at the airport, with Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and other state officials present to greet him. He was accorded a ceremonial guard of honor, reflecting the anticipation of his upcoming tenure.
The transition in governorship saw Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar being appointed as Kerala's Governor, thereby moving Khan from his previous role in Kerala to his new responsibilities in Bihar. This marks a pivotal change as Khan prepares to infuse his tenure with reverence for Bihar's past glories.
